Absolutely Adore it Here! The Gentlemen are Fantastic and Welcoming! Exceptional Barber and Affordable Rates as well.
This beauty parlor was extremely unprofessional I visited on March 18th, Friday to style my hair and inquired about the cost for a wash and setting. The owner quoted $35, but she refused to set my hair in rollers and made derogatory comments about me in Spanish, referring to me in a derogatory manner. I understand Spanish and felt uncomfortable as the entire salon stared at me because she and her staff were unwilling to style my hair as requested. Their behavior was disrespectful and made me feel unwelcome. As a customer, I know how I want my hair styled, and that's what I expected. During my initial visit, they were friendly because I conversed in Spanish, but during my recent visit, the owner was rude when I spoke in English, insinuating that I couldn't afford the $35 hairstyle. Despite tipping $20 on my previous visit, I received poor service. Never again. Unsatisfactory experience 👎🏾
As a long-time resident of this neighborhood for over 20 years, I have observed that the male barbershop patrons often mock tourists and locals. They engage in gossip and play loud music, disregarding the presence of other establishments. The female barbershop clients are quieter than the men but still show disrespect towards individuals of different backgrounds or LGBTQ+ individuals passing by, potentially deterring customers with their behavior.
