Providing an update to a review I penned a few years back. I have been a loyal client of Terue since 2003, even after relocating from New York in 2006. I still make it a priority to visit her in NY 1-2 times annually because no one else comes close. The experience of getting my hair styled by Terue is more rejuvenating than therapy, as I feel and look significantly better afterward. She is a genuine artist, meticulously precise in her hair cutting technique. What's more, her haircuts maintain their shape and appearance for an extended period, reducing the need for frequent salon visits, which is crucial for me as I no longer reside in NY.
Absolutely the most amazing haircut I've ever received. My stylist is Terue, and upon relocating to California, other hair professionals highly recommended Terue to me. She is a master in both cutting and styling. My hair maintains its fantastic look from the salon for months due to the precision of the cut, which is impressive given the numerous layers I have! I also adore the Japanese hair products she uses. Overall, a superb salon experience, all thanks to Terue!
I stumbled upon the Miwa-Alex Salon two years ago. Throughout this time, I have consistently been delighted. I have received stunning haircuts and color treatments from Mary, along with exceptional blow-dries from Maria. The ambiance at the salon is incredibly welcoming and pleasant. What sets Miwa-Alex apart is a unique feature I have yet to encounter elsewhere. In addition to the conventional hair washing sink, Miwa-Alex offers shampoo beds. At Miwa-Alex, I can recline on a bed while getting my hair washed, eliminating the need to strain my neck by bending over. This setup is immensely more comfortable, particularly beneficial for me as I suffer from neck arthritis. I wholeheartedly recommend this charming salon.
