This was my premiere visit to this spot and I’m let down. I spied reviews online and opted to reserve a silk press for an upcoming birthday. I reached my appointment punctually and my stylist was on hand and got right to work. She offered me some counsel on flat ironing my hair at home and some product recommendations. She was kind and easy to collaborate with. Why 2 stars? I reserved a silk press with cut/trim and I did not receive a silk press. My hair looks more like a blow out that I did myself and this is only HOURS after I departed the shop. While my hair feels soft, it is also a tad dry. The trim I got was decent, but I think more should’ve been taken off. My hair I observed also had a slight burnt scent as I walked home. Here, when I requested a lighter touch, the masseur responded with a firm “no lighter” as he applied pressure with his elbow to my scapula, and we shared a laugh. Every time I visit, I experience uniquely intense and effective pain relief. Following the massage, I had increased mobility in my shoulders and was so disoriented that I attempted to put my pants on over my shoes. I did mention the skin fade to the barber three times, but there seemed to be a communication gap. Despite some nods of acknowledgment, the fade was not done, and the cut is a bit uneven. However, he did maintain the length I requested. I had a fantastic, swift, and cost-effective experience at "The Spot" on a Tuesday afternoon. Alex was able to assist me promptly. They aided in the positioning for the flat part and carefully placed the third piercing on my ear lobes (both sides) due to one ear being larger. In the end, the placements were spot on! The whole process took about 10-15 minutes and the total cost (including the jewelry) was $103 for three piercings. Alex had a great sense of humor and was very helpful, enhancing the overall experience.
