If you appreciate strong pressure massages, you'll find this place to your liking. I'm giving it 4 stars for the reasonable price ($60 per hour, better than other places I checked in the area) and for accommodating a last-minute massage request. It was evident that the masseuse was putting in a lot of effort, and she tried to engage in some polite conversation. Personally, I prefer a gentler touch. I had to express discomfort a few times and ask for less pressure, but she just responded with a quick apology and continued with the intense pressure. I had read some reviews beforehand, so I was somewhat prepared for the poking and prodding that seemed a bit unskilled - I could see where those comments were coming from. It felt like someone with no massage experience and anger issues was given some sort of stimulant and told to perform a massage - it felt erratic. I did request extra attention on my heels, and she handled that part well with her strong fingers. The ambiance was relaxing, except for the interruptions when she answered the phone four times. Three calls were to schedule appointments, and the fourth seemed to be someone she knew because she loudly declared, "I'M WITH A CUSTOMER!"
Not a pleasant experience. The masseuse mainly poked and prodded with her thumbnail, giving the impression that she lacked expertise. In my opinion, the massage wasn't worth the money. Very disappointing.
