The worst haircut my child has ever received! He had beautiful long locks (measured by the barber at 8 inches) and only wanted 1.5 inches trimmed to freshen it up. Why did the barber cut off 4 inches??? The haircut took an hour and a half..
We practically watched an entire NFL game while he sat in the chair. As he began cutting, it was evident he wasn't very confident with the scissors. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe he was just slow and meticulous. However, everything ended up uneven and messy. He even had to call another barber over to check his work. He then spent another 10 minutes "fixing" some of his mistakes.
My child walked out of the salon immediately with his hood up. The barber apologized, but that didn't change anything. If he wasn't comfortable with the scissors or my child's hair type, he should have communicated that. I would have preferred honesty. I considered refusing to pay, but at that point, I just wanted to leave. We ended up going somewhere else to correct the disaster. Update: We had a second FIL/SIL gel mani session and they hurriedly removed my yellow nails, taking off too much of the nail surface. Both thumbs have the worst spots and they somewhat ache - they're bumpy and uneven due to the aggressive removal of the old gel. Overall, they look okay but the experience wasn't as great as the first time. I would not suggest opting for glue-on nails at this venue.
