I am utterly let down by this nail salon and have no intention of returning. I will not be suggesting them to anyone either. A friend suggested that I take my daughter for her 11th birthday on 1/31 as a surprise to have dip. The staff were pleasant upon our arrival, but the nail technician who attended to my daughter seemed rushed. She wanted hearts on her nails, which I assumed would be painted, but to my surprise, they used stickers. This would have been acceptable if the stickers were not raised and prone to peeling or shifting. The top coat quickly lost its shine on several nails. Paying $65 for this service is preposterous. My friend, who recommended us, contacted them to express her dissatisfaction. They offered to rectify the issue and told her to bring my daughter in. However, when my friend took her in, they fixed the nails but still charged her the full price of $60!!! I have never encountered such poor service and customer care at a nail salon before.
Friends Nails Salon has been exceptional. After a disastrous experience with acrylic nails elsewhere, I was hesitant to try them again. I decided to give this salon a chance to fix them, and I was astounded by the results. I have returned multiple times since then for nail services. The staff has been incredibly kind and ensured my satisfaction before I left. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to my friends.
I have been exploring nail stylists in Clermont and Groveland, searching for the right fit. I had visited Friends Nails Salon before but found their prices slightly higher than other places, so I had not returned in a while. When I needed my nails done recently, I decided to give them another chance. Regrettably, it was a mistake. I am unsure if my stylist was upset that I only wanted a dip and not a full manicure, or if her roughness was standard practice, but she was so harsh that I almost left with only one hand finished. I still have two fingers bleeding today, and a closer look reveals that the nails are in a terrible state. From a distance, they appear all black, which is a small consolation. I was not even offered anything to stop the bleeding after she cut my finger near the cuticle. I acknowledge that it was my decision to stay, but all I could think of was how I would explain to another salon why one hand was bare and the other looked dreadful and was bleeding. In the end, I was charged $75 for a dip and a sticker on each hand, despite repeatedly stating that I only wanted two fingers done.
