THE PROPRIETOR BILLED ME $85 for a HAIR RINSE!! Initially agreed to a full package of wash, condition, blowout, trim, and twist. However, Lorraine, the owner, was too harsh when washing my hair, prompting me to change my mind... She used her nails excessively on my scalp and disregarded my request for warm water instead of cold, despite my polite reminders. She roughly detangled my hair, causing breakage sounds that made me inquire about the cost of just a rinse. She quoted $85, and when I asked for an explanation, she simply said, "That's our policy, wish I could change it." This lady really scammed me, despite claiming to value customers... Seriously. A friend recommended this salon and mentioned the owner once gave her a discount for a long wait. She also charges $25 for a loc consultation, which is outrageous, especially since BASWA in HARTFORD offers them for free. She even threw shade at BASWA during my visit. I've had too many bad salon experiences, and sadly, this is another one to add to the list. Avoid this place, head to BASWA in Hartford instead! :)
