Amina messaged me at 7am to confirm my 8:30 am appointment. Upon arrival, I inquired about Amina's presence, and both individuals replied with a "yes." After waiting for 15 minutes, I asked how much longer it would be, and was told an hour. It was evidently longer than an hour as she had just begun. I expressed my desire to cancel my appointment, citing the unprofessionalism of the situation. These establishments need to be held accountable for their lack of respect for clients' time. At the very least, an apology should be offered. My apologies, I overbooked; if you could return later, I can provide you with a discounted rate. Instead of an apology, she simply responded with an "okay." This disturbing trend is becoming more prevalent, but I refuse to accept subpar customer service when I am paying a fee that should align with the quality of the service provided.
WOW! Amina truly saved the day!! I urgently needed intricate feed-in braids. I phoned her and she accommodated me as a walk-in. Amina grasped the task perfectly. She absolutely aced it. Check out the images attached to see my initial idea compared to her flawless execution. I will definitely return! Her salon is pristine and cozy, and our chat about #savagebeauty was delightful. Amina is incredibly kind and charming. Don't overlook the smaller African braiding salons...make sure to visit Amina!!! OH, and her pricing, in contrast to another African braiding salon (literally just down the street), was quite reasonable in comparison. Thank you once again, Amina!!! See you in a couple of weeks 😁
In general, my daughter's hair looked fantastic. The stylist who manages the bookings is friendly and pleasant. However, she quoted me one price over the phone and then altered it in person. Furthermore, the establishment is neither tidy nor hygienic. The stylists do not disinfect their combs or wash their hands between clients. Additionally, there is a lack of professionalism; clients were double-booked, resulting in a somewhat crowded salon. One lady mentioned her appointment was scheduled for 12:30 but was not seated with the stylist until 2:20. I wish I could say that the final result is sufficient, but the customer journey speaks volumes, and for me, the entire experience is what I am paying for!
