An update on my initial visit - I had made an appointment stressing the need for punctuality. After waiting for half an hour without being called, I left. I rescheduled for today but wasn't seen until 4 p.m., despite my 3:30 appointment. The person who attended to me was unprofessional, only removing polish from three nails before constantly leaving to attend to others without explanation. After 40 minutes, I got up and left. I will never return to this salon; it's the worst I've been to. It seems the person who did my nails the first time no longer works there, which explains the disorganization and lack of professionalism.
I felt let down when I booked an appointment for four of my residents. I made it clear that we are an assisted living and memory care community, ensuring they were comfortable with individuals with dementia. I scheduled their appointments for requested services, with families providing payment and tips. One resident with mid-stage dementia was supposed to have a regular manicure to trim her nails, as we can't do it at the community. However, the technician upsold her to a gel manicure that she couldn't afford, and my driver had to cover the difference with no tip given. Now, this resident with limited income needs to pay more to remove the gel polish just to get the regular manicure we asked for. Additionally, her family is upset with us for not following their instructions.
I had a really unpleasant experience. I visited on a Saturday morning for a refill and a design. I requested black nails in chrome finish. I left with only 3 out of 8 nails in chrome. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, I was told to return for a fix. I went back today and still left unsatisfied. Despite multiple explanations of my desired design, I ended up with all black nails due to frustration. The nail tech even asked for an additional $10, which I found unreasonable since I paid $65 for a specific result. I couldn't spare the extra time on Saturday for a redo. How could I be asked to pay more for something I wasn't happy with? I won't be going back to 70 Nails. The 1st photo shows what I requested with black chrome, the 2nd is what I received, and the 3rd is the final result.
