Not the best place for hair services, Gloria lacks consistent pricing for her services. She should display a price list to avoid confusion. She tends to quote prices spontaneously. While she may negotiate slightly, her assistants lack the necessary skills in braiding and crocheting. Overall, not a satisfactory salon experience.
This is my third visit to this braiding salon. My first two experiences were excellent. I made an appointment, agreed on a price, and was pleased with the outcome. The styling was fast and neat, even though my hair was quite short. I appreciated their ability to handle it well. However, on my third visit, I requested a simpler hairstyle (cornrows) assuming it would cost less due to my longer hair and the style's simplicity. To my surprise, I was charged over $200, which was more than my previous visits for more intricate styles. I feel uncomfortable paying such a high price for a basic style. In conclusion, I will be seeking a new braiding salon as there are many options in the DMV area.
I have been a patron of Gloria's for a few years now, and I am consistently satisfied with my hairstyles. She works quickly and doesn't braid tightly at all. There were a couple of instances when someone other than her styled my hair, and they also did a fantastic job. No complaints from me!
