Let me recount the absolute worst hair salon ordeal I've ever endured. Despite making a prior appointment, my visit turned into a nightmare. Upon arrival, Julissa, the stylist I had scheduled with, mentioned she had just noticed my appointment that morning. To add to the frustration, she already had another client and insisted I wait for a lengthy 20-25 minutes. Despite having a confirmed appointment, I reluctantly agreed to wait. After a 15-minute delay, Julissa finally attended to me and, in a very impolite manner, insisted on knowing my hair history before proceeding. I found her demeanor extremely disrespectful, especially as a paying customer. I assured her of my previous blonde highlights and strong hair, as acknowledged by other stylists. However, she continued to claim my hair would suffer damage, despite my request for partial highlights. I suggested a strand test, which she reluctantly agreed to, leading me to a consultation chair. As she examined my hair, she began making disapproving expressions and stated she couldn't proceed, suggesting I return to my previous stylist in a highly disrespectful manner. I demand to speak with a manager immediately to address this atrocious experience and vow never to return to that salon. The alternative international salon I visited later that day was appalled by the rudeness I encountered. If Julissa happens to be a manager, she urgently needs to learn customer respect. As the director of my own company, I know for a fact that if an employee of mine ever spoke to a customer in such a demeaning way and cost us business, they would be terminated promptly. I strongly advise against patronizing this salon; it appears they only cater to Portuguese-speaking clientele.
What a fantastic spot to get your hair styled! The staff are all so welcoming and courteous. I visit twice weekly for a blow dry and have tried out different hairdressers for my color and highlights at this establishment. Luisa is hands down my favorite stylist. I've been a loyal patron of this salon, International Hair, for the past 2 and a half years and would wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.
