This spot is clueless. I removed my gel polish at home to avoid any damage to my nails. I simply wanted a clear manicure so I didn't think they could mess that up... Yet they still insisted on using the drill to thin out my nail. Now my nails are sore, inflamed, and red - almost shaved down to the last layer.
