Mariana was an exceptional nail artisan. The detailed discussion prior to her precise work on my manicure was unparalleled. We delved into my choice of gel polish, my nail shape, growth, the benefits of a dry manicure, and more. She even viewed a video of the design I desired, ensuring it was flawless before proceeding with the rest of my nails. Thanks to her expertise, recommendations, and talent, my gel manicure lasted longer than ever before, and my nails maintained their length post-gel. Mariana was delightful to converse with, and the reception staff was warm and friendly. I found the pricing to be very reasonable as well.
I had another wonderful facial session with Marta today! I have been a patron of the Upper West Spa (UWS) for years, and even bring my 17-year-old daughter for treatments with Marta. Despite trying various places for my daughter's waxing, she would only trust Marta for the job! We both adore Marta! I am not sure what Freya G. is referring to in her review of Marta and the service she received, but Marta is the kindest, most pleasant, gentle, and incredibly professional aesthetician! I cannot fathom Marta ever treating someone as Freya G. claimed. I truly question the validity of her review! I would always request Marta without hesitation and wholeheartedly recommend her! And if my 17-year-old insists on only having Marta for waxing and facials, that speaks volumes! Marta is top-notch! As for Freya G. bringing her dog to the UWS...I have never witnessed or heard of anyone bringing a dog into a spa! A spa or nail salon should be a serene environment, where even a service dog would be unnecessary. If you require a service dog in such establishments, perhaps it's best to have services done at home. Bringing a dog to a spa or nail salon, much like in a grocery store or food establishment, where cleanliness is paramount, is inappropriate! Simply put, dogs do not belong in these settings!
My first facial experience here was fantastic. With my skin acting up in NY, Marta helped soothe my rosacea flare-up. I felt at ease, relaxed, and reassured throughout the session. I will definitely be returning!
