Before you spend your hard-earned money at this salon, think twice. It's the priciest one on 57th Street. The gel manicures don't even last a week, and if you go back for a fix, they turn you away. If you dare to ask for better service, they get offended but still expect a hefty tip. This place is all about taking your money for subpar service. The manager was incredibly rude and unpleasant. Save yourself the trouble and find another salon on 57th Street. Have a wonderful day.
Unfortunately, my recent experience at Summer Nail Studio on 57th Street will be my final one. I've been a loyal customer for months, always tipping well due to the clean environment, wide range of nail colors, and the professionalism of the nail techs. However, during my last visit, a technician, possibly the head one, tried to charge me extra for removing gel polish from just three nails. She insisted on a $5 fee for gel removal, even for just a few nails. While I respected the policy, it seemed like she was making it up on the spot. I've never been charged for gel removal before at this studio, and I didn't see any mention of it on their menu online or in-store. It felt like she was trying to squeeze more money out of me since I was only getting a regular manicure. So, a word of caution: watch out for hidden fees this studio might try to impose. I'm disappointed that this experience didn't live up to my expectations.
Summer Nails has been my go-to nail salon for the past couple of years. The gel manicures last for weeks without chipping, and the atmosphere is always so relaxing. I highly recommend it!
