It was satisfactory, it was thoughtful of them to accommodate me last minute, but I wish they had paraffin wax. I just returned home from my manicure/pedicure and the gel on my nails is wrinkled. They inform you post-payment that a 20% gratuity is required, not included. If tipping is mandatory, it should be factored into the price. Paying $75 (for a standard pedicure with regular polish and a regular gel manicure) and then an obligatory $15 tip on top ($90 total) seemed a bit steep to me, especially since the gel finish is not smooth. It's an adequate nail salon for quick services. Bring cash as they charge extra for card payments. Extremely dissatisfied with the service here. The haircut was passable, but after washing it myself, I noticed it was uneven. I had to visit another salon to fix the highlights. The front part of my hair was notably darker, especially on one side, as if some areas were completely missed. When I brought this up to the stylist, she insisted that's how highlights are supposed to look and disagreed with me. Before you spend your hard-earned money at this salon, think twice. It's the priciest one on 57th Street. The gel manicures don't even last a week, and if you go back for a fix, they turn you away. If you dare to ask for better service, they get offended but still expect a hefty tip. This place is all about taking your money for subpar service. The manager was incredibly rude and unpleasant. Save yourself the trouble and find another salon on 57th Street. She also is highly skilled with both clippers and scissors which isn't always the case when you are looking to get a fade and keep it long up top.
