After requesting a gentler touch, she adjusted, allowing me to somewhat relax. Yet, it felt more like someone casually rubbing their hands on me rather than employing proper technique for a massage. I once had a fantastic experience here with a different masseuse, but never encountered that level of skill again. On another occasion, a masseuse persisted with intense pressure despite my pleas for a lighter touch. It seems luck plays a role in the quality of service you receive. I still do not recommend this place. The lack of professionalism is concerning, particularly the disregard for privacy - walking out of the room with the door open while the client is face down and unclothed, or removing clothing without consent. They should always seek permission from clients before making such moves. While it didn't bother me, it could certainly disturb others. For instance, if a female client prefers to keep her bra on during the massage, that choice should be respected. Overall, I find the staff at these establishments lacking in professionalism, likely due to their lack of formal education or certification. They often have limited English proficiency, if you're fortunate. I only visit when truly bored, but it's advisable to avoid such places. Paying $60 to an untrained individual to simply rub their hands on you, plus a $20 tip for an hour, is not worth the risk of injury or disrespect.
