Today's deluxe pedicure was a disaster. The staff seemed unaware of my presence and failed to acknowledge me. Eventually flagging down someone, as there was no receptionist, I was seated after waiting despite having an appointment. Once seated, the employee vanished to make personal calls for 15 minutes! While soaking, the jet cover detached and floated around, necessitating another employee to retrieve it as I was neglected. During the pedicure, my feet were repeatedly clipped by the exposed jets, causing discomfort. The attendant showed no concern, continuing to make personal calls while tending to my feet, all within a broken foot tub. The establishment was notably unclean, with broken and tattered pedicure stations, dirt and hair-covered carts, and employee beverages adjacent to tools. Every corner bore dirt or dust. My feet retain significant dead skin, and the polish application is uneven. A return visit is out of the question. Service was abysmal.
Arriving at 5 pm, as a walk-in, we were met with stares. After waiting for about 5 minutes, it was evident that everyone was engrossed in their work. No one greeted us. As we prepared to depart, a kind lady inquired about the service we sought. I mentioned nails. Regrettably, they were fully booked for the day, suggesting we call for an appointment the next day. Fine. My encounter garners 2 stars. Having worked in a shop for over 3 years, we always greeted incoming individuals, offering water even if fully booked. Contact information was taken, ensuring service within 24 hours. Perhaps a Cleveland custom, but the shop was quaint.
The ladies here were exceptional. Holly, especially, displayed remarkable kindness and patience when I reached out via email, even on her day off. Rhonda, who handled my nails, was incredibly understanding of my demanding nature. Overall, a delightful experience. The staff exudes warmth, and my nails look fantastic. Absolutely thrilled with my nails.
