I will start by saying that I began going to a new nail salon about 6 months ago because I was dissatisfied with NT. I needed to stop in today for a basic manicure and removal of gel polish. That being said, I was there for a total of 20 minutes and was charged $40 + tip for the worst manicure I've ever received. I fully understand they will charge to remove the gel polish and I anticipated that. But a manicure that leaves my nails rough and bumpy with only a base coat applied is unacceptable. I wanted clear polish and informed the manicurist of that. When she applied the base coat and then stated I was done, I inquired if there should be another coat...she rudely stated "one coat is enough". This was after I had given her a very generous tip, expecting that she would be providing the same service as a standard manicure.
