SHUG is the cutest sugaring and skincare boutique! I was intrigued by this beautiful spot just walking by, and had to go in and check it out! I was greeted by the shop owner Michael and after talking to him and learning all about the process I booked an appointment to get my armpits sugared. Although I usually shave, I’ve had waxing done on this area a few times for different vacations and whatnot. I loved learning more about the process of sugaring, how it’s generally less allergenic and is more gentle on the skin than waxing due to it only being made of 3 ingredients (sugar, water & lemon.) This type of hair removal will also last about 2 weeks (so great)! I love that Shug is so eco conscious and not only do they need to use less product but they also don’t need strips or sticks for the process. Even the gloves they use are biodegradable which is amazing! While the process wasn’t pain free, I think if you’ve ever been waxed before it’s a very similar sensation, except I feel that the sensitivity and redness disappeared faster than when I’ve been waxed in the past. I would highly recommend trying out sugaring before your next vacation or even give it a try if you’ve been waxing but want to try something a bit more natural and more eco conscious in general. The boutique is so well thought out with every product being curated and hand picked by Michael himself. The overall vibe and feeling of this space is just immaculate from the moment you walk into the door, to all the knowledge and care you receive throughout the service all the way to the products you can get to take home with you after the service. I will definitely be back to Shug and would recommend anyone I know to try out this service at Shug as well!
Michael was amazing and I really enjoyed my first sugaring experience. He explained the process, benefits, history, and post care throughout the appointment. I felt comfortable the entire time. He has a high level of professionalism and his attention to detail was fantastic. The space is beautiful as well. Book the appointment, you won’t regret it!
I can’t speak highly enough for this place. Michael is an incredible leader and man who lights up a room with his wit and smile. Alex is a vibrant man who makes you feel comfortable and warm the moment you walk in. The talent and skill both of these men have are unmatched, and that’s coming from someone who has had years of waxing, sugaring, tweezing, tinting, etc. Their shop is stunning and it feels like home right as you walk in. Plus, they have some of the most thoughtful, natural products and gifts you can choose from. I received a Brazilian sugaring from the lovely Alex and he nails it every time, and he extracts my ingrowns so gently that I don’t even notice. If you’ve seen Shug while you’re in downtown Littleton and haven’t booked a service, what are you even doing?! This is the spot.
