All the individuals at Heads Up are delightful both inside and out. The salon's decor and furnishings create a cozy, homely atmosphere. Owner Tana goes above and beyond to remember customers by name, even if they are not specifically her clients. My hairstylist, Brooke, is a charming and hardworking individual who always strives to do an excellent job.

I was absolutely thrilled about getting my hair dyed and styled. I had a vision of having silver or gray hair with black highlights. Being a natural blonde, I assumed it would be a simple task to achieve. Recently, my niece, who has darker hair than me, had this exact style done elsewhere and it looked fantastic on her. Although I did have a hint of pink in my hair from supporting cancer awareness, I was optimistic that if covering the pink with black wasn't feasible, the stylist would have communicated that. To my dismay, I left the salon with an unattractive copper hue and now the pink has turned into a dark purple shade. I felt so upset and let down. It took all my strength to leave without shedding tears. I reiterated multiple times that it was not what I had requested, yet the stylist continued to insist that he thought it looked good. But am I not the one who has to live with my hair? It has been a while since I last had my hair professionally done, and I was looking forward to it so much. The situation could have been handled better than just trying to persuade me that it didn't look bad. He did offer to add a couple of highlights, but I was unsure of how that would rectify the situation at that point. I am deeply upset and disappointed. Given that my hair is long, down to my buttocks, fixing this will not be a simple task. I cannot in good conscience recommend this salon to anyone. If you are unable to fulfill a client's hair request, it is better to be honest about it and explore alternative options together. That would have been a more favorable outcome for me than the current mess that I am now struggling to rectify on my own.

The haircut I received did not match the picture I had provided, although the end result was still nice, just shorter than I had initially desired. Additionally, the hairstylist accidentally cut my t-shirt and charged me the full price. 🥲
