Ventured to The Beauty Lounge today for the first time. My stylist Alex is there now. It was fantastic, absolutely adored the ambiance and it's definitely worth the trip from Lees Summit. I had the worst time today when I spoke up about my nails. They promised to fix them, but then refused to help me. Mindy was so rude and kept hanging up on me. I want to speak to the owner. This is not how a business should be run. If a client complains about their nails, you should not turn them away. The photo was taken just a week after my nails were done. They charged me $70 for this. Kudos to Becky, my stylist, who arrived a few minutes early and carefully reviewed my reference images, providing input before commencing the cut and style (a slightly long feminine pixie, a challenging cut). Following that, more praise for the shampoo experience; leisurely and calming. Post-cut and style, Becky and I went over the look for any adjustments. Raves for the checkout process as well, and I promptly scheduled my next appointment. I decided to change things up and visited a Great Clips location. (Would not recommend, my hair is a mess) During my first visit, I asked for curtain bangs, a trim, and some layer refreshing. Unfortunately, the cut was uneven, the layers were choppy, and the curtain bangs were a disaster. On my second visit, the stylist had to cut off extra inches to fix the initial mistakes. Despite her efforts, the curtain bangs are still choppy and not as I requested. My hair is essential to me, and now I struggle to feel happy with it post my experience.
