This was the initial salon I visited upon relocating to Georgia, and I have been a loyal customer ever since. The prices are competitive with neighboring salons, if not slightly lower. The salon is tidy, the staff is knowledgeable about current styles and techniques, and my hair is styled quickly. I always receive compliments on my hair when Princess does my braids.
I visited this salon yesterday after Princess assured me she could style my hair. I arrived at 2:30pm with my closest companion. Princess informed my companion that her hair would require 2 hours, and then it would be my turn. She began working on my companion at 3:00pm and completed her at 6:30pm. Subsequently, she attended to a client she claimed to have booked for 5:30pm before me. She mentioned that her daughter was on her way to finish that client's hair. By 7:30pm, Princess had not yet started on my hair, and her daughter had not arrived. She then requested her sister to style my hair. I hesitated to allow the sister to do it as I had not seen her work before, so I inquired why Princess wasn't doing it. The sister stated that I would need to wait for her to finish her client's sew-in if I wanted her to work on my hair. Reluctantly, I let the sister style my hair, and it turned out to be a disaster. I requested simple cornrows at the top (my hair is curly at the back), but she constantly consulted her sister on whether she was sectioning it correctly and asked me to hold up a sample picture throughout the process. Unfortunately, my braids turned out poorly. The sections were uneven, the braids were too thick, and they stopped at least 5 inches below the sew-in. She attempted to rectify it but couldn't. I asked Princess if I could return in the morning for her to redo them. I offered to come as early as possible knowing she already had appointments. However, she refused and was extremely rude about it. She failed to take any responsibility for the situation. I left the salon at 9:10pm that evening with unraveling braids, poorly sectioned hair, and thick braids. Additionally, my scalp was pulled so tightly it was swollen and painful. I have never felt so embarrassed in my life. This was the most dreadful experience I've ever encountered, and Princess showed no concern. I strongly advise against supporting this establishment!!! The salon had a foul odor, reminiscent of sewage or plumbing issues. It was an awful experience. If I could rate zero stars, I would. Highly unprofessional!!!!
They spent a good 40 minutes on my TWO braids, using an excessive amount of gel! It's only my second day, and look at this disaster!!! Absolutely terrible experience!!! I do not recommend.
