Needed assistance for a family member post-surgery. Unable to take extended time off for proper recovery, I reached out to several agencies. On Monday morning, Michael from Assisting Hands reached out to express his apologies. He appeared genuinely remorseful about the mishandling of my issues. We reached a mutual understanding, and I have decided to give them a second chance. I have revised my rating from 1 to 3 stars based on Michael's prompt response and willingness to make amends on 9/10/24. Initially rated 1 star on 9/7/24 If I could rate Management a zero, I would. This morning, I was waiting for my Aide to arrive. Upon contacting Assisting Hands, I was informed that my insurance had expired the week prior. It would have been considerate if they had informed me and inquired if I would be willing to pay out of pocket. Additionally, there was an issue as someone in the household had Covid, and they stated that they do not send aides to homes with sick individuals. Shouldn't they be equipped to handle households with Covid cases? The aide was pleasant, but she napped when not assisting.
