Today was the second rough experience I’ve had In the Lakewood Commons location of Ulta. I grabbed my favorite foundation that today came with a free moisturizer. Signs everywhere read “ Free moisturizer with any IT COSMETICS purchase. So I inquired about it at checkout. The cashier seemed annoyed, fumbling through papers with recent ads. I suggested we check the sign, no one was waiting. She consulted her colleague who mentioned it was with a $60 purchase. They suggested I add something to reach $60. I eventually gave up. On my way out, I revisited the sign and saw multiple signs stating what I had said. It was closing time, employees waiting. Finally, someone agreed to check. Once again, she insisted in our system, you need to spend $60. I pointed out the sign contradicted this. Can I please have my free moisturizer? After some hesitation, she relented and gave it to me. Everyone seemed irked. What's with the attitude? If your sign is wrong, don’t blame the customer. I doubt I'll return. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this is not acceptable. Probably many others today didn’t speak up.
Awful experience. 3 cashiers at the front, only one working. The other two chatting while I waited forever. Left because I didn’t want to waste time watching two idle workers gossip while I have things to do.
