The listed price for a pedicure on their website is $40, and he did not opt for any gel, color, or design enhancements. Surprisingly, the final cost for his pedicure amounted to $60. When I inquired about the price difference, they explained that due to the significant amount of dead skin on his feet, they had to utilize additional tools, thus incurring an extra $20 charge. It would have been more acceptable if this additional fee was disclosed upfront and justified. Moreover, if the extra work was indeed necessary, how did they manage to complete his treatment before mine? In contrast, I had a gel polish and an acrylic nail applied, and my total came to $55. While I was pleased with the results, I believe that any supplementary charges should be transparently communicated to customers so that they can make informed decisions. Although I would like to revisit the salon due to its charming ambiance and skilled staff, the undisclosed surcharge gives me pause. It is disappointing because the establishment has great potential, but clarity on additional fees is essential for customer satisfaction.

Despite my repeated complaints over the past four months, the owner's response has been rude and disturbingly biased against individuals of African descent. Unfounded accusations were made solely based on my skin color. I unwittingly lost $50 over the course of a year and a half before realizing the discriminatory treatment towards Black patrons. It is disheartening in this day and age, as we are now in 2023.
