Staff is untrained, & very unprofessional. I called wanting to put in an order and have it picked up. I have done this for years and never have used the app. The person told me they didn’t allow over the phone orders. I said hmm that’s weird I have always done this and never used app. Then they said they had no idea how. When I asked them if they could ask someone for help, they said no, And hung up on me. Completely ridiculous for this place to even remain open if they can’t offer a simple service of calling in an order.
Today I visited Alex's with my dad. I go there all the time and today in particular I didn’t have enough to cover my purchase. My dad forgot his wallet at home and the person behind the counter (I don’t know if they are the manager but I’m about positive they are) paid $25 of their own money to cover my items. They didn’t have to do that and when I got into the car I cried because like everyone else I’m a working person doing my best to make it and that small act of kindness made my whole week. That manager deserves AT LEAST a raise. They’re an angel.
I was unsure why the whole store smelled like cigarettes, until I talked to the manager. It smelled like they had been hot boxing cigarettes for the past hour and on top of that was super rude and was unable to give me any advice on what would work for my hair. I understand they are not hairstylists but I feel like they should be knowledgeable about some products. I was simply looking for a moisturizing shampoo.
