I recently visited the school and was utterly disappointed with the atmosphere. The staff appeared dispirited and ill-equipped to manage a school. I requested a simple fade but ended up with a hairline that was far too high. The shampoo bowls were uncomfortable, my chair was covered in hair, and the staff seemed to constantly bark orders at the students. Improved management is urgently needed.
If possible, I would give this establishment a zero-star rating. While it aims to provide a valuable community service at an affordable rate for clients while offering practical learning experiences for students, the main issue lies with the head director. She exudes negativity and seems to have lost her passion for the job. Her unpleasant demeanor and attempts at gaslighting are concerning. It may be time for her to consider retirement to create a more positive work environment for the students under her supervision.
If you're considering enrolling in this school, I strongly advise against it. The staff treat students poorly, and the owners rarely step out of their office to acknowledge graduations; their focus seems to be on enticing new students and collecting fees. Students are burdened with an excessive amount of services, solely benefiting the owners. The owners show no concern for the well-being of their students, prioritizing recruitment over support. During orientation, they deceive students, who likely won't interact with the owners again. The staff engage in petty behavior reminiscent of high school, belittling and disrespecting students. Students are tasked with menial chores like cleaning, laundry, while the owners remain uninvolved. There is no warm welcome for students, and parking is nonexistent; students must park at Whole Foods and walk a considerable distance or carpool. Students are left to navigate challenges independently, with only a few exceptional teachers to rely on. For a better beauty school experience, consider Oahu for superior education and benefits, possibly at a lower cost. Additionally, the school charges a hefty $250 weekly fee for absences, disregarding the personal lives of adult students. The environment feels more oppressive than a high school setting. Avoid wasting your money on this subpar institution.
