Juneau's best grocery store for its quality and variety of products. However, there have been issues with employees gaslighting customers. While I don't claim to be perfect, I won't stand for any insults. I'll miss Foodland like an old flame, especially their delicious cooked meals, soups, and fresh salads.
I've been a loyal customer at the food market next door for a while now. However, my experience today at 7pm was disappointing. The cashier, Elizabeth (possibly Filipino), was quite rude. Not only did she toss my change on the counter along with the receipt, but she also used a counterfeit marker on my $20 and $1 bills. I work hard for my money and expect better service.
The salads and soups at the Salad Bar are truly exceptional. I do wish they would offer some spicy options like the shrimp corn casserole, but my wife can't handle hot spices.
