My scheduled appointment was at 4:30 pm. I arrived early at 4:20, checked in, and waited. A walk-in with two boys arrived and requested the stylist I had an appointment with, getting taken care of as a walk-in. It was already 4:37 pm, and I had to inquire at the counter why my appointment time wasn't respected, leaving me waiting. A very disappointing experience indeed.
I had a full hair color and highlights done for $250 plus tip. The stylist did a fantastic job. When I returned 7 weeks later for a root touch up, I was left under the dryer for about 15 minutes past the timer. After finally getting the Shampoo Girl's attention, the color turned out too dark, covering my previous highlights completely. The stylist seemed overwhelmed and charged me $120 for the touch up and blow out. They no longer accept tips on credit cards, unlike my previous visit. I didn't have cash, so I suspect she may have added a $60 tip without my knowledge. I only noticed this after receiving a purchase alert on my phone. Overall, it was a disappointing and unprofessional experience.
I work at a luxury salon in Winter Park, Orlando, so I usually don't go elsewhere for hair services. However, I decided to get a wash and blow out during a visit to my parents after a tough week. The shampoo was lackluster, especially considering I have beaded weft extensions. Despite informing the stylist, she didn't properly cleanse my scalp, leaving it feeling oily and dirty. The blow dry was subpar, with damp roots and a rough finish. Even the flat ironing was rushed and poorly done, leaving me with fuzzy, unstyled hair. Despite the stylist being nice, the overall experience was disappointing and lacked expertise.
