Kailyn did an outstanding job on my hair color and highlights! I usually dye my own hair, but I wanted to try highlights. I thought letting a student work on my hair would be a great way to try something new. I absolutely love my new hair! Thank you so much!
I arrived a few minutes before 4 pm hoping to get a simple men's haircut before my cancer surgery the next day. The door was open, I called out for someone, explained what I needed, and was told, "Sorry sir, we're closed." Seriously, you couldn't spare ten minutes to help out a senior with cancer. May God show you mercy when you're old, sick, and in need of help. I wasn't asking for a handout and would have happily paid. I guess that's just how people are nowadays.
(12/23 UPDATE BELOW!!!! I'm leaving my previous comment because one person shouldn't tarnish the reputation of an entire establishment.) Gannon, Ms. Kennedy, and another lady whose name I can't recall, did an exceptional job today. I got a haircut, my son got a perm, one nephew got a haircut, and the other nephew got a cut, style, and highlights. You all did fantastic today. (7/23/21 we had another wonderful experience. One son got a perm, the other a haircut, and both turned out great. Update 8/18/21 some of these ladies and gentlemen, I feel, are not appreciated enough. Jasper, you should definitely give these folks a chance when you can, some of them are working multiple jobs. If something isn't to your liking, they will make it right. This is my favorite place to get my hair done. They do more than just haircuts, and they make you feel like part of the family. 5/2/22 the ladies did an excellent job, exactly what I asked for. Great work, ladies. *(12/23 ok, had an appointment, took time off work to get a perm. I told the lady on the phone the day before that I had an all-over highlight kit on my hair, she said okay, I'll get the special perm kit for you. When I arrived, I was told, "Oh, I didn't know it was all over. I don't feel comfortable doing it," and then she continued with her explanation and said it's not that she doesn't want to, blah blah. She didn't offer me any other service or ask if I wanted something else, just said sorry and walked away. I've always been honest. Today is no different. I don't blame everyone for this - that's why I left the stars - but I know this person will be there, and for that reason, I won't return. This is a perfect example of how a company loses business, both new and old. Side note, be mindful of how you treat people; you had a chance to turn a negative into a positive but completely missed it.
