I feel let down by International Waxing Center. I visited twice for a Brazilian wax. The first time was 6 weeks postpartum and it wasn't bad, but today was a different story. Although the waxing was quick, there was still a lot of hair left. No effort to remove ingrown hairs or provide any suggestions. The staff member was friendly, but for $66, I expected better. I'm used to Waxing Boutique where they meticulously care for your skin. The employees are nice, but the service doesn't justify the cost.
The turnover here is incredibly high. It's frustrating to have to go through 3-4 different waxers to find a good one (especially considering the prices these days!). And just when you find someone great, they're gone within months. The recent price hike is making it unaffordable, and there's pressure from the reception to tip generously. The only saving grace is the wax pass option, but that's not unique to IWC. It might be time to explore other options.
What a warm and cozy ambiance. Riley is my preferred wax specialist and they truly make the whole experience delightful! I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for a waxing session.
