This establishment brings to mind why I invested in a facial steamer and now do my own facials at home. Save your money; it's not worth it. Skin Institute International is far superior.
I scheduled appointments at Makana Academy. Spa days are not something I usually do, so I thought of pampering myself. I underwent underarm waxing, Brazilian waxing, leg waxing, and an ultimate facial. My esthetician was Kelci Flores, and she was outstanding. Judging by her skills and techniques, one would never think she is still a student. I had never experienced waxing before, and the whole process was incredible. Kelci made me feel completely at ease, and I was pleasantly surprised by how painless it all was. I truly appreciate how Kelci took the time to thoroughly explain the procedures, the aftercare, and offered suggestions for ongoing skincare. During the leg waxing, Kelci was assisted by another student named Paige, who was also very friendly, professional, and welcoming. And, there's nothing like an ultimate facial to cap off your day and unwind. The ultimate facial was fantastic. I was sad when it was over because I felt so relaxed, and my skin felt amazing. I highly recommend the services at Makana Academy and specifically ask for Kelci Flores. If Kelci is unavailable, inquire about Paige. I couldn't be happier with the results, and I will definitely return!
I indulged in the monthly facial special at Makana. It was my inaugural proper facial, and it was truly wonderful! I felt so at ease, and the atmosphere was so tranquil that I could have easily dozed off. I was attended to by Kelci, and she was truly exceptional. You would never have guessed that she was still in training. Very professional, continuously inquiring about the pressure, and possessed magical hands. I wish I could visit her every month. If you have the chance before the month ends, do visit her!
