I opted for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure, but the polish started chipping in less than a week. It is certainly not worth the higher price, especially when there are more affordable alternatives available. The staff and ambiance were pleasant, but I am greatly disappointed in the quality. Judging by other reviews and shared photos, this seems to be a recurring issue here.
*revision a week later* Initially, the quality of work was subpar; the nails appeared uneven and inconsistent, especially considering the price charged. All the nails chipped within a week, indicating a very poor job. I have been getting gel manicures for years, and they have never looked this bad after just one week. The service is definitely not worth the cost. I recommend avoiding this salon!
THE PROPRIETOR is a rude, gaslighting individual who lacks basic customer service skills. I visited QQ on Friday evening to schedule a Saturday morning appointment for powder nails priced at $55. I explicitly inquired if there would be additional charges for removing my gel nails, to which he adamantly denied. He assured me that everything was encompassed in the price. However, post my appointment, I noticed extra fees on the bill. When I brought this up with the proprietor, he accused me of lying. He claimed I never asked about additional charges and mentioned that other salons in Manhattan would charge $20 extra, whereas he was only charging $10. To him, I say, do you take me for a fool? If other salons are charging $20, you are not operating a charity but a business. There is no way you would not also charge $20. It would have been more respectful if he admitted that I may have misunderstood, and I would have gladly paid the extra $10. To everyone else, I advise you to save your money and seek services elsewhere. The service here was below par; one of my nails had a white streak across it, and my cuticles were not properly tended to. I had dead skin all over within 15 minutes of leaving, except for the shoulder massage. I will not be returning.
