Disappointing experience with a lack of respect at this establishment. The front coordinator lacks customer service skills and communicates in a condescending manner. Instead of fostering effective communication, she tends to unnecessarily reprimand and engage in arguments. My interactions with them have been frustrating, and it seems like basic courtesy training is sorely needed.
Contrary to the negative reviews, my experience with LI Care at Home under the CDPAP program has been excellent. They were informative, supportive, and made the process of hiring health aides seamless. Dealing with aging parents can be stressful, but Long Island Care was a great help, and I would gladly recommend them.
I am utterly perplexed about the quality of the home health aides provided by this agency for my mother, who is an Alzheimer's patient. The aides have been neglectful, allowing my mother to remain in urine-soaked clothes for extended periods leading to UTIs. One even ate my mother's food at a senior center and physically harmed her, as reported by the center. During Hurricane Sandy, when my mother needed a warm place due to a power outage, the agency insisted she return to a cold house with the aide or go to a shelter. Their coordinator, Lydia, behaved reprehensibly, even screaming at us during a hospital visit, leading to the aide abandoning my mother. It's shocking that the agency's founder, Beverly Johnson, a former friend of my mother, has allowed such mistreatment to occur.
