**Nearly a year of remote work due to the Covid-19 pandemic left me in dire need of a massage. The extended work hours, constant indoor confinement, and lack of decompression had a toll on me, and I truly needed a respite. After researching local spa recommendations, I stumbled upon this hidden gem in Herndon, VA. I specifically sought a spa offering couples massages in a serene, tranquil setting for sessions longer than fifty minutes. Tucked away in a court, this spa exudes serenity. Strict Covid protocols are in place. Upon entry, the receptionist warmly welcomes you, checks your temperature, and while waiting, you're greeted by a wall of top-notch Éminence beauty products. You're then led to the relaxation room, offered water or tea, and seated beside an electric fireplace emitting cozy warmth. It was a perfect setting for our rainy Sunday visit, as we were the sole clients during our time there. Opting for a 90-minute Swedish massage for my husband and me, we wore masks throughout the session without issue. My husband's masseuse, Diane N., received rave reviews from him. She addressed areas of discomfort he wasn't even aware of, leaving him feeling significantly better. My masseuse, Gudleif, skillfully worked out the knots and tension in my neck, shoulders, and back accumulated from stress. She also took great care with my prior car accident injuries, seeking my input on adjustments during the massage. Post-massage, I indulged in a 45-minute session in the infrared sauna for toxin release and muscle recovery. While the sauna's dry heat at 150 degrees proved intense, I had to cut my session short, unlike my husband who completed the full 45 minutes. Despite feeling a bit battered after the session, I knew Gudleif had effectively addressed my muscle knots, evident by the twitching muscles. A dose of Advil, ample water intake, and the next day, I felt remarkably better. The tension in my neck, shoulders, and back had dissipated, leaving me feeling relaxed. We're definitely scheduling another appointment here; it was a phenomenal experience with an outstanding staff!**
