I had doubts about the standing room only setup, but it turned out to be fantastic! You can freely move around, get up close, capture great photos, and opt to sit in the bleachers. It's a wonderful concert venue that I highly recommend.
I attended a small gathering here. The grounds are well-kept and ideal for various events like picnics and birthdays. The play areas are enjoyable as well. I even managed to do some pull-ups on the high bar. We played cornhole on the spacious, flat lawn area. Overall, a pleasant experience at this fairground.
Black Bear has always been a favorite spot for me. However, during my recent visit, the food was good but the service was lacking. With only 6 tables and 3 servers, my coffee went unfilled and no one checked on my meal. The toast had unmelted butter, the hash browns were hard, and overcooked. Despite passing my table multiple times, none of the servers offered assistance. Be cautious on the snowy walkway. Hopefully, they improve their service in the future.
