This Hartford spot is top-notch, no names mentioned to be fair. Every visit for a sharp fade has been spot on. Used to hit up another salon, but the hassle of booking led me here to Sports Clips. One of the worst hair dying ordeals of my life. When I scheduled the appointment, I clearly specified that I wanted a split dye and a haircut. However, upon reaching the salon, the stylist had me down for a "pop of color" and no haircut. I was baffled by this term, and it seemed she was too! When I showed her the pictures that inspired me, she appeared lost. I should have walked out then. I specifically inquired if she knew how to execute the style or if she had enough time. She assured me she did, so against my instincts, I stayed. What I ended up with, for nearly $200, was over-processed, poorly bleached hair that doesn't reach the roots and is patchy and uneven all over. It looks terrible. I could have achieved this disaster in my own kitchen. Now, I have to invest more time and money in finding a capable stylist to correct this mess! I've attached the inspiration images alongside what I received. I strongly advise against anyone seeking hair coloring treatments here; save yourself the trouble and expense, just experiment on your hair at home with the aid of YouTube.
