I visited this salon on 12/04/2020 to have my hair done by Alexi VAbraidesigner Williams for my trip to Jacksonville on 12/05/2020. I requested bohemian box braids and she responded that she would provide the hair. However, upon arrival, she was running late to purchase the hair, which should have been prepared before the client's appointment. I spent over 6 hours in the chair. Once the braids were done, I was not satisfied with the outcome. The hair felt stiff, the curls tangled, and it caused discomfort and itching on my scalp. I reached out to Alexi the following Monday to address the issues with the hair. After explaining the situation in detail, she apologized and offered to fix it. Initially, I suggested altering the curls and making the braids longer, but due to the adverse effects of the hair she purchased on my scalp, I requested a refund instead. I paid $155, and I felt a partial refund of $77.50 was fair. Alexi offered $50 and requested pictures of my scalp once the hair was removed. I explained that while I understood her perspective, I believed I deserved more due to the style not lasting as promised and causing discomfort. We had a back-and-forth discussion about the refund amount. She assured me I would receive it within 24 hours as she was on bed rest, which seemed irrelevant since she could still send it via cash app. After 24 hours, I followed up, and she mentioned sending it after her class but did not acknowledge my previous message nor inform me when she sent the money. Her attitude shifted from being polite and professional to rude. I do not recommend Alexi VAbraidesigner Williams from this salon. The quality of the hair she used was poor, and I only received $55 back. I would have let it go if I had received half and if she had shown more understanding. Instead, she blamed me for the hair issues and her cousin accused me of mistreating the style, which was untrue. I did not ruin a $155 style just to settle for a partial refund and end up with a disappointing result. I am extremely dissatisfied with this experience and would not recommend her services.
