Ralph is exceptional. He treats you as if you're the most important thing in his life, whether it's a full Viking cut or just a trim for the classic Northern Mullet. An excellent singer and an even better hair artist.
Ralph is a skilled stylist. He is likely very talented, but seems to lack consideration for me as an individual. He shows more concern for my relative's feelings than mine. Let's talk about the physical space. Their white sofa is uncomfortable. A lengthy metal bar runs along the back, making it uncomfortable for those who want to lean back. There is excessive furniture crammed into the limited space, requiring it to be moved for people to navigate. The water feature sounds like a perpetually running toilet and leaking sewer. I made my appointment two weeks in advance, yet two other individuals arrived for the same slot. When scheduling, I believed I was booking a one-on-one session with Ralph, not with two others. I had requested a color and cut. The coloring was successful, but Ralph completely forgot about cutting my hair. I prefer my hair short. I usually use a ½ guide to cut it myself. I wish I could trim it so there's nothing on the sides. When Ralph returned to cut my hair, I explained what I wanted. Did he come close to it? NO. He trimmed the sides and back but completely ignored the top. Less than two weeks later, my hair looked awful. I wonder if he does this to others. Are clients at Sanctuary Hair Studio not getting the haircut they desire because Ralph is more friendly with their relative? I just read another review where someone got the buzz cut they wanted, but I couldn't get the same. What's the deal? Ralph is incredible. Truly skilled in his trade. Unlike the dentist's office, he never scolds me for being 4 months late for a haircut. A wonderful person with a cozy personal salon where the same team has been working for as long as I can recall. Bonus - two adorable dogs might make an appearance.
