Carolina Style Hair Salon

I’ve been a client of Aiden’s for nearly 8 years (since we moved to the Midwest). I was looking for someone who could do natural hair and he was a great match! His personality and his hospitality were welcoming. Shortly after the pandemic I transitioned to locs and I didn’t know that he did them so I went from salon to salon and while the services were good, there was always the issue of atmosphere. Back to school 2023, I took my child to get their hair done by Aiden and that’s when they told me they did locs as well. I was elated! Now, not only am I back to Aiden after two years of trying different locticians, but my adolescent child also gets their hair retwisted by Aiden! If you’re looking for a multi-talented stylist with a welcoming personality and a salon with a great friend/sibling/cousin vibe, Aiden at Midwestern Style is a must!

It was hard to find at first, just look for a sign for a chiropractor business and the beauty salon label is right underneath. It's right before the Resurrection church on E. Main street. It was a cozy, welcoming locale right from the entrance. I walked in and was greeted by a charming young little boy (Hudson's son). I asked if I was in the right place and he said yes and gave me the biggest smile. Hudson walked out and greeted me warmly. I was very comfortable with him. I felt he understood what I wanted. I never felt like he was rushing to get my hair done like I've felt at other places. He was very nice, charismatic, and professional. He was helpful in explaining how to care for my color treated hair at home. I'm happy to say I think I've found my go-to hair salon. Will be returning!

I highly recommend Mika as a hair stylist. She did a great job adding blonde highlights to my hair which is naturally dark brown. Mika is very professional and knowledgeable about hair coloring. She is also caring and is concerned about maintaining healthy hair which can be damaged by the bleaching process. My hair feels and looks great.
