Within the recent month, I encountered the need to return spoiled pork and chicken. Despite not being beyond their sell-by date, the items were clearly in a deteriorated state. The wait for customer service was quite lengthy. The individual assisting should perhaps not be in a customer-facing role. As a result of this incident, I have decided to take my patronage elsewhere. Prior to this occurrence, I had faced challenges with the quality of produce as well at the West Putnam Ave store.
The elderly cashier exhibited an abysmal attitude. A deep scowl was etched on her face, indicating a desire to create a negative experience for customers. It was evident that everything around her held more importance than efficiently serving the patrons in her line. She seemed to be actively seeking distractions to prolong the checkout process and waste our time. The experience was truly dreadful. I will not be returning.
If I could rate this establishment a zero, I certainly would. The manager on duty on September 7, 2024, at 1:30 PM displayed the most unpleasant attitude. I selected two bags of shrimp marked at $11.99, yet she insisted that perhaps a patron had misplaced them. Shouldn't it be their duty to rectify such errors? She adamantly refused to honor the price and maintained a discourteous demeanor throughout the interaction. It is truly disheartening to see a business like Acme employing individuals with such subpar customer service skills, particularly in a managerial position. There is certainly room for improvement.
