Firstly, I want to clarify that I am not from Chicago; I'm from Portland, OR. We have excellent barbershops here, like Prince Cuts. Now, onto my experience at this barbershop. The positive aspect is that if you walk in and urgently need a haircut, they can accommodate you. However, for kids' haircuts, I wouldn't recommend it. For adults, it's only suitable if there are no other options available. The price is around $20, which is average, but I believe the quality of the haircuts doesn't match up. I receive much better cuts at a salon in Eugene. The staff is friendly, which is a plus, but the quality of the cuts is lacking. Keep in mind, this is just my personal experience; yours may be different.
My partner just visited this barbershop recently and spent about 30 minutes or more getting a haircut. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst haircuts he's ever had. He asked for a high skin fade, but the line wasn't as high as requested, and it wasn't straight at the back. There was hair all over his clothes and forehead. The left side of his head was uneven, and the barber's attempt to fix it with scissors only made it worse. Overall, it was a terrible experience.
Nick did an exceptional job on my child's hair. I will definitely make this barbershop a regular choice. The atmosphere was great!
