This particular general store has consistently fallen short of expectations, but this morning's experience was utterly unacceptable. Upon entering, the attendant completely ignored us. Once we retrieved our items and proceeded to the checkout, we waited for about 5 minutes before calling out to see if anyone was available to assist us. No response. After an additional 2 minutes, we called out again. Finally, after another minute, a woman, who was not wearing a name tag and had a Bluetooth headset on, came over and rudely asked, "Are you the one yelling?" She maintained a disrespectful attitude throughout the transaction, even suggesting that we shop elsewhere if we were dissatisfied. Upon completing the purchase, she yelled at us as we exited, declaring that we were not welcome back. I have reported this incident to corporate and am awaiting a response.
While waiting in the car for my husband to grab a few items in the store, I noticed a young girl struggling to exit through a malfunctioning door, unaware that she needed to use the other one. She went back inside and informed the clerk. The clerk accompanied her, watched her until she safely reached the car, and waved at whoever was with her. Intrigued by her kindness, I sought to learn her name to commend her. I eventually found her working in the back room. She was surprised when I asked for her name, but upon explaining the reason, she was genuinely grateful and thanked me. Her name is Andrea. I wanted to share this heartwarming act of kindness!
My 3-year-old sibling accidentally dropped a glass jar, and they were scolded unreasonably.
