Had a fantastic experience, reasonably priced, and a superb haircut too.
Received a nice haircut here. Paid $9.60 and left a $2 tip. What troubled me greatly was how the individual cutting my hair pointed at the price and asked, "It's $9.60, right?" You should never solicit or hint for a tip in any way. A tip is a gesture of appreciation for good service, regardless of whether I had intended to leave one or not. Please show respect and avoid making people feel pressured or uncomfortable about tipping. Many individuals may have personal reasons for not tipping, and they shouldn't have to disclose them.
Unpleasant experience last Sunday. Once the person finished styling my 11-year-old child's hair, they mentioned to my spouse that they accidentally cut him a bit. My spouse paid the full amount and still left a tip. When I inspected the "nicks" closely after leaving the store, I was livid. There were five cuts on his neck, two of them quite large and bleeding. I can't fathom how they are so far down his neck. It seems like even Edward Scissors Hands could have caused less harm.
