Carolina did an outstanding job. It was my first visit to the salon, and I was delighted.
I visited the new Haute Salon at the OC for a pedicure. Emma performed the service excellently! It didn’t feel hurried, and she was very attentive and caring. If you seek a relaxed environment at a full-service salon, book an appointment at Haute.
I must give a 0/5 rating. I do not suggest Carolina as a hairstylist. I visited Carolina for the first time on Thursday. My appointment was set for 9am. Ten minutes prior, I got a text stating she was running late. I comprehend that delays happen, so I wasn’t bothered. However, when she arrived, she spent around 30 minutes fiddling with the radio and other tasks before starting on my hair (meaning I waited 45 minutes before beginning). I wanted my gray roots covered and some blonde highlights blended, something I never had issues with at other salons. Carolina said I didn’t need my roots colored to cover grays and that highlights should be sufficient. Not being a color expert, I trusted her. I spent 3 hours at her salon, during which she sporadically worked on my hair while attending to other clients and tasks. It's common for stylists to see other clients while color processes, but sitting for 3 hours with color in my hair was excessive. Due to the delay, I couldn't stay for styling to see the final look. After my hair dried, it didn't match my reference photos or our discussion, and after 1 wash, my roots turned orange. I messaged Carolina on Monday with photos, politely requesting a refund as I needed to correct it elsewhere. Initially, she didn’t recall me or my inspiration photos, trying to shift blame by claiming I refused a root smudge, which was never offered. After further explanation and refund request, she blamed me for having unrealistic expectations, offering only a partial refund. I clarified I didn't want to argue, just seeking a refund to fix it. Her unprofessionalism during the appointment and attempts to blame me without acknowledging her mistake show her lack of professionalism. If my expectations were unrealistic, she should have communicated professionally instead of making me feel at fault when she erred.
