I participated in the medical billing and coding program during the 2020 pandemic. The instructors I encountered during my 2-year journey were all exceptional educators. The dean was incredibly understanding when I had to take a break from my studies due to a cancer diagnosis. Towards the end of the program, I had to unexpectedly become my mother's full-time caregiver, necessitating another leave of absence. However, as I was about to complete my final class, which was a makeup from my initial leave, the school abruptly pushed me out. They refused to let me finish the necessary course for state testing and a career in healthcare. Despite being one class short, they labeled me as a graduate of Campus, denying me my certificate and diploma. There was no communication from the school's offices or career services. It feels as though my two years there never happened. The institution prioritizes ratings, statistics, and finances over student welfare, rushing individuals through like sheep. The only reminder of my attendance is the $10K student loan that I am still repaying in 2024. I maintained a steady 3.8 GPA throughout my tenure. Discovering that I could have pursued the same program for free at the nearby community college adds to the sense of wasted time and money. Before enrolling, carefully explore your alternatives.
I strongly advise against this school; it squanders time and money. Their promises of aiding in job placement do not materialize. Opt for another vocational school for a quicker and more economical route. Avoid engaging with this establishment!
The medical billing and coding program was an utter squandering of time, money, and effort. Even months after completion, the experience remains profoundly disappointing.
