Before making an appointment, I sent the stylist plenty of pictures of the hairstyle I wanted. She assured me she knew how to do it. However, after sewing in my weave, she admitted she didn't know how to cut. Despite this, I still paid her $280 and left the salon with a botched hairstyle. I almost didn't pay her at all. Her husband was incredibly rude and disrespectful, and both of them become upset if you miss an appointment. I will never set foot in that salon again.
Today, my daughter went to get her hair braided. The stylist had double-booked appointments and asked my daughter to come back later. When she returned, her braids were loose, and she requested a refund. The stylist became aggressive, yelling and pointing in my daughter's face as if she was about to fight. Her husband claimed the money had already been given away, but when threatened with law enforcement, suddenly found some of the cash. He only returned $280 out of the $320 paid, asking me to give her the rest later. Both of them were argumentative and disrespectful. We will never return to that salon.
Extremely overpriced, you can find the same items at the grocery store next door for 3-4 dollars less. Most products on the counter are covered in dust, and they try to sell you a wig that has been sitting there for ages without offering a discount. I purchased $10 sunglasses which broke before I even left the store, and they refused to refund my money or provide a replacement. I try to support black-owned businesses, but this experience was just too much.
