I came in with a friend for gel manicures. The staff was friendly and efficient. I did notice that their color selection was somewhat limited and mostly in the red to brown range. They are a bit pricier compared to other salons, but the overall experience felt more pleasant. They do offer a 5% discount for cash payments.
I visited Sweetie Nails for a variety of treatments before heading out for an upcoming occasion. I had my eyebrows shaped, upper lip waxed, gel extensions, and a pedicure done. The pedicure was satisfactory, but I wasn't quite satisfied with the nail design I had in mind (I provided photo references.) However, the real issue arose when I got my eyebrows and upper lip waxed. I've been getting professional waxing done for over a decade without any adverse reactions, except for one time when I used home wax strips from a brand. I couldn't tell if the reaction started immediately, but when I sat up to check, my entire face was covered in white welts. My face was red, itchy, and burning, so I paid the $260 and left. I sat in my car with neosporin on my face and drove home to apply ice. Even when I've had a minor reaction before, it usually goes away with some aloe. However, two days later, my face still has welts all over. I'd suggest Sweetie Nails for nail services if you're willing to spend a bit more, but I'd strongly advise against their waxing services.
Even though one of my nails broke within four days, they fixed it for free and did a touch-up for all my nails. Great service at Sweetie Nail Salon! 💅 I really liked the manager, she was very kind. I wouldn't have minded paying for the nail fix and touch-up again, but they didn't ask for it. So, I left a tip for the girl who worked on my nails. One of the top nail salons in New York ❤️ They have 10 locations in Brooklyn, Long Island City, and Manhattan.
