I would not suggest Tunde African Hair Braiding and Weaving. The consistency in their work quality and pricing is lacking. I was given one price over the phone, only to be charged a higher amount in person after the service was done. When I questioned the owner, Tunde, about the discrepancy, the response was rude and aggressive. Despite liking the work quality and the braider who worked on my hair, I felt pressured to pay the inflated price Tunde demanded rather than argue.
If you’re sensitive to pain, I'd advise against this spot. I've encountered the same issue with 2 different braiders at this establishment. They pull the hair too tightly, and unfortunately, I couldn't even convey my discomfort because they were on the phone non-stop from the moment they started until the very end. The phone calls aren't the main issue; it's the lack of attention to notice they're causing you pain and discomfort. After my first ordeal, I tried to brush it off, but the second time, the pain was unbearable.
