Beauty salons in Fircrest

I had a lot of errands to run on a Friday, although I wasn't in a hurry to complete them all. I strolled into Alex Hair Salon just to have a trim. I have approximately shoulder-length hair that hasn't been cut since April. I just needed it to be tidied up a bit, trimming dead ends. The place was spotless, and there was a cozy massage chair that I settled into before Alex could trim my hair. I waited less than 10 minutes to be seated, which was pleasant, although the TV show that was on was very loud and distracting. The haircut, however, was a disaster. I mentioned I have a sensitive scalp and asked for a detangler if possible. I was open to shampooing/conditioning, but they said it was unnecessary. The combing was definitely painful, but no effort was made to alleviate it. They began cutting, and I assumed it was a "rough cut" that they would refine after shaping. However, they did not, and when it was finished, the front of my hair was uneven on both sides. (I had anticipated the cut to take about 20 minutes, but they were done in less than 10). I brought this up to them, and they mentioned it was "layered" with sound effects indicating the varying lengths. I decided it wasn't worth arguing and paid before leaving. I am not a high-maintenance hair person and have actually been bald multiple times in my life, participating in fundraisers for cancer research. After leaving, I was tempted to shave it off again, but decided I will be going elsewhere to get my trim fixed, but definitely not at Alex Hair Salon.

I would not suggest Tunde African Hair Braiding and Weaving. The consistency in their work quality and pricing is lacking. I was given one price over the phone, only to be charged a higher amount in person after the service was done. When I questioned the owner, Tunde, about the discrepancy, the response was rude and aggressive. Despite liking the work quality and the braider who worked on my hair, I felt pressured to pay the inflated price Tunde demanded rather than argue.

I had an incredible experience here. Alex did an outstanding job with my hair. They knew exactly what my hair needed.

My mother desired a fresh look, and Alex at Mane Haus Hair Studio made it a reality! Our relatives and friends were astounded by how stunning my mother appeared with her new hairstyle.

We've had exceptional encounters with various stylists. Each one is attentive and gentle with the little ones. They take the time to create such adorable hairstyles for my little guy! He has never been upset during his hair appointments 😄 ...

I've recommended numerous individuals, and they all provide fantastic reviews! Incredibly welcoming, exceedingly professional. If you haven't stopped by yet, you're truly missing out!

The staff is incredibly welcoming and the atmosphere is great. My nails look so adorable, I'm in love with them! Definitely a must-try:)
